Nashville has gotten real bad about that in recent years, although they have leaned in that direction for a loooonnngg time.

Isn't most folk music like that......two or three themes that are followed religiously? In fact, I think country even has a key range it doesn't stray from. As I understand it, folk music is supposed to reflect the more rural, traditional aspects of a society. At least that's always been my impression.

Do most people in TX like country? It seemed that way when I was in TX ten years ago........actually more Austin country. I was surprised to see how big country is in eastern WA state.
