Haven't heard about the tepid tea treatment, but doesn't matter as I got burned out on growing house plants a long, long time ago. My DIL gave me an indoor begonia a few yrs ago and it is barely hanging on. Poor thing! I water it and have it in a west window, but I think the heat vent nearby is killing it. That is the only window (french door actually) where it gets enough sun. In the summer it perks right up, but this time of year it really suffers. LOL Not funny, but don't know what else to do with it.

My favorite house plants were always the hoyas. I just loved them. They were so pretty and easy to care for. And I liked the little waxy flowers I got every once in awhile. They got so big and out of control though and then the kids came along and that was that. I had to make a choice. The children thank me.

We have a little green house too and still grow seeds there for the veggie garden. The soil is being warmed up now for the tom seeds that my hubby will sow this weekend. We usually grow 30 or so tom plants and make sauce for the freezer. He didn't grow any last yr because I had so much sauce I didn't have any more room. I'm down to one package, so looking forward to his tomatoes this summer.
