Without our support, Israel, the regions only true democracy, would be in serious jeopardy. I believe we need to help them for this fact alone.

But I do agree that our aid should be meted out more judiciously. And why cannot once poor but now prosperous nations reimburse us for our help, countries such as South Korea.
