Richard, Harry's suggestion of reading Warren Buffett's book "The Warren Buffet Way" is a good one. You should get a copy. One of the most important thing he mentions in his book is to not get emotional about the market, or "Mr. Market" as he calls it. The day to day swings are no real reflection of what the stock is actually worth and should be looked upon with great suspicion. Its a good idea, even with minimial time on your hands, to spend some time to figure out for yourself what exactly is it that you are buying (it's not like the horse races).
