What a great way to finance terrorism and at the same time destroy a community.

This was in my local paper.....I have cut out only the really important part....

Investigators searched two homes on Kent and Ida streets and seized $15,000 worth of the drug. They also found $9,600 in cash.

Tuesday's busts were the result of a three-month investigation by members of the Police morality unit.

When an undercover police officer was buying crack, the dealers told him they'd be filling orders 24-7, Sgt.

James Leigh said.

Buyers could call a phone number, passed around by word of mouth, and crews working around the clock would supply the drug.

"They were running days, afternoons and nights," Leigh said.

Police found 150 grams of cocaine, which sells for $100 a gram on the street.

On Tuesday, investigators, aided by the emergency services unit, stopped a vehicle and found an ounce of crack cocaine on the occupant. They then searched the residences.

Charged with with seven counts of trafficking a controlled substance is Abdulkadir Ali, 22, of Louth Street. Mohammed Abbas, 22, and Mohamed Hassan, 23, both of Ida Street, are charged with three counts each of trafficking a controlled substance.

All three were also charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

Ali was further charged with breach of probation.

Guled Mohamed, 22, of Vintage Crescent, Jennifer Portillo, 21, of Ida Street, Tarig Akasha, 24, of Kent Street, Hazim Badawi, 20, of Louth Street and Ahmad Alhami, 25, of Mississauga were inside the residences at the time of the searches.
