On the contrary, it will be Microsoft's version of Java that will be (with the emphasis on Will BE) marginalized! There is a whole discussion to it and reasons for which have been discussed so many times here and else where.

But perhaps to summarize it an analogy may help. What Microsoft is trying to do is similar to state that: Spanish people in Souther California by adopting to the Spanish language only in all stores in Downtown Los Angeles will eventually force Southern California (and for that matter the entire state of California) adopt the Spanish language and set aside English as the main language of the state! Although the intention is highly understandable however I highly doubt this will ever happen!
