Gene and Scott, Here is my speculation about the KLAC, AMAT (and basically whole group) pullbacks. I think a few folks felt INTC would warn about the Qtr, but on CNBC a few minutes ago, they reported that INTC said they have no announcements to make prior to 14 Oct 97. (earnings day for INTC) This market seems to have returned to having its manic depressive personality again. My 2 cents. Other guesses are welcome. Teri
