Taleo Swings to Profit in the 4th-Quarter, Helped by Higher Recurring Application Revenue
DUBLIN, Calif. (AP) -- Staffing management software maker Taleo Corp. on Thursday said it swung to a profit in the fourth-quarter, helped by recurring application revenue.
Quarterly profit attributable to Class A shareholders totaled $892,000, or 3 cents per share, from a loss of $77,000, or break even per share, during the prior-year period. Excluding one-time items, earnings were 7 cents per share
The number of weighted average Class A common shares rose to 25.8 million, from 18.2 million a year ago.
Revenue rose 26 percent to $26.5 million, from $21 million in the same period a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expected a profit of 5 cents on revenue of $26.2 million.
Recurring application revenue grew 26 percent to $21.6 million.
For the year, loss attributable to common shareholders narrowed to $2.3 million, or 11 cents per share, from a loss of $5.5 million, or $1.19 per share in 2005. Revenue grew 24 percent to $97 million, from $78.4 million in 2005. |
