that is rugged country, but without any significant access based in Pakistan it makes it harder. A few years ago, I had an old friend of mine who was in the 10th special forces - he knew a couple senior guys from a SOG unit that were hunting for Bin Laden - they thought they were making progress until all their moves in the field had to be approved in the chain of command all the way back in the US. They lost time and effectiveness.
