I did some research on astrology and it turns out that it does have some predictive ability, but only if you believe in it. It turns out that believers modify their behavior in line with what astrology tells them, as well as selectively remembering confirmations and forgetting or rationalizing when it is wrong. I.e., they are like any other set of believers! As part of my research, I had my horoscope done by 5 different pros in different traditions -- western, Chinese, Japanese, Zoroastrian, and one other that I forget. Remarkably, each managed with disagree with all the others in most aspects of their "findings", which is actually statistically improbable. LC
