1971 - India had a war with Pakistan - those days it was West Pakistan and East Pakistan. When the war concluded, a peace treaty was signed between Gen Niazi of Pakistan and Gen Aurora of India. and the nation of Bangladesh was born. India was not an occupying force - just liberation in war times - soon as the treaty was signed, there were no Indian troops in Bangladesh. I dont need web sites to read for starters - I have lived it.
