You should read kumars reply more closely. Does any rational person think that the average iraqi is better off today than they were under saddam? And its getting worse.
With 20/20 hindsight i am not sure whether we could have been successful even if this incompetent administration was not in charge. Nor am i sure whether more troops early on would have done anything more than delaying the inevitable, once humpty dumpty (irag) got broken.
What i am certain about is that following this same path is dumb and even if we make progress in the short term with the surge, US troops will be there forever because when we leave all hell will break loose.
But you and unclecluess and the lindy bill crowd will always be able to swift boat the dems or blame the MSM and on and on. Never admitting an error has become the trademark of your crowd and although i am highly critical of democrats in general, it apparently will be there time to govern. I am sure no matter who runs you will be ready to swiftboat---obama went to a muslim school, hillary is a lesbo, edwards is an ambulance chaser and so on. Thats all you got left karen.
