HIV/AIDS in general. Like any community, the Medical AIDS community thinks it has the answers, and dismisses any evidence that doesn't fit.

This is typical of all groups. They get "Religious" about what they believe in. I expect a major sorting out of the AIDS question over the next 50 years.

You can see this right now in Classical Physics. We can't find the answer for what gravity IS. And it stops us from further integration of Physics. Yet when we do find the answer, I would bet the ranch that it has been staring us in the face for at least a century. And is simple.

Look how true this is for electricity. The Greeks could have discovered how to use it. And should have. But our present day knowledge of it is little more than 150 years old.
