( In otherwords, there is ZERO chance of any break through to Peace action. Quite simply:ZERO.U.S/Israel diplomacy remains unchanged--we demand you agree to the status of being slaves in our Apartheid stategy.
There remains from Bush ZERO pressure on Israel to change their attitude, their stance.
Bush himself shows that he himself is does not give a damn what happens to Palestinians. Bush himself is a cold cruel dangerous man.imo--max

America and Israel have agreed to shun a new Palestinian unity government unless it rejects violence, the Israeli Prime Minister has said.

Ehud Olmert was speaking ahead of a three-way meeting with the Palestinians and the US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.

The summit on Monday was billed as an attempt to revive peace talks, but it has been overshadowed by friction over the new Palestinian power-sharing agreement.

Earlier this month the Palestinian President, Mahmood Abbas, and Hamas leaders reached a deal to form a unity government. However, the agreement fell short of meeting conditions set by the Quartet of America, the European Union, Russia and the United Nations.

The Quartet has said international sanctions against the Palestinians can only be lifted if their government renounces violence, recognises Israel and accepts existing peace agreements. The new power-sharing agreement speaks only of "respect" for existing peace deals.

Mr Olmert said he and US President George W Bush had spoken by phone about the deal and agreed the Palestinians had to go further.

"A Palestinian government that won't accept the Quartet conditions won't receive recognition and cooperation," he said. "The American and Israeli positions are totally identical on this issue."

Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas, who has been charged with putting together the next government, said the Palestinians should hold firm against international criticism.

He told reporters: "We stand by President Abbas in defending this agreement and facing outside pressure, whether from the US administration or others."

Ms Rice was meeting Mr Olmert and Mr Abbas separately today ahead of tomorrow's summit in Jerusalem.
