I don't see why you always harp on the war vote. It doesn't seem at all illogical to me to give the President authorization to do something, then declare 4 years later that he has screwed it up. It's like giving a surgeon the authorization to operate, and then declare that the surgeon has screwed it up when his lack of preparedness or knowledge or ability kills the patient. We all vote to the let pilot fly the plane when we get on board. If he crashes the plane we can then declare it the worst flight of our lives.
