E.C., Have you ever read the book Fantastic Voyage --Live Long Enough to Live for Ever, by Ray Kurzweil and Dr. Terry Grossman? The book says they also have a website, fantastic-voyage.net I think you would find the book interesting--talks about a lot of nutritional issues, recommends certain foods and supplements and tells why, and is footnoted. Kurzweil's work was already familiar to me through his book The Singularity Is Near, which I admit I have only dipped into rather than reading in its entirety.
