A lot of people (on SI anyway) think crack s/b legal. Cause then it would be less expensive and there'd be less crime is the reasoning.

Trouble is, as near as I can see one of the worst things about crack is its already so cheap. It was designed to be a low price cocaine product cheap enough any ghetto dweller could afford to buy some. Some thoughtful marketing went into developing it.
