more...Karmazin will be the chairman of the combined company, Panero will step down once the deal is done (if it is done).

I don't think they'll have a problem getting this merger approved, they can easily make the case that both of them would go bankrupt without a deal, and thus it would actually make the market more competitive if the FCC allows a deal.

edit: I misread the release when I said that Parsons would step down. He'll be the chairman of the combined company.
