"To many people merely repeat what they hear by Bush or others....."islam is a religion of peace".....when in fact it may not be."

It would be clarifying if you would either come out honestly and declare yourself as one who hates all Muslims or as one who wants to route out the evil that is being perpetrated in the name of Islam.

My position is clear. Religions do not kill, people corrupt religions in order to commit heinous unjust acts.

Jesus was rightfully identified as the 'Prince of Peace'. I would add that he was the Prince of enlightenment. Yet when I don't blame the dark ages imposed by orthodox churches on Jesus and his message. I don't blame the horrific events of the Crusades on Jesus. I don't declare the long history of persecution by Christians on one another and onto others as proof that Jesus did not bring a message of peace.

That is the corruption in the extremism you promote. Islam is not to blame for the corrupt human beings that use Islam to commit heinous and unjust acts. You disagree, at least be honest about that when you are challenged. You hold all of Islam, its dogma, its religious order, and its billions of devotes accountable for any unjust acts committed ... whether it is a nutcase taxy driver or a brutal dictator.

You yourself do not like censorship, or so you say. But calling me a bigot for opinions and provoking thought is in itself a form of censorship if it precludes dialogue among many.

The act of associating negative characteristics to people who are not represented by those characteristics, in an effort to rally disdain toward how those people are demographically identified is an act of bigotry. I would be less than truthful if I gave you a pass on it. You are being less than truthful when you avoid the discussion by claiming only to post articles with no agenda to incite disdain for those people you broadly and generally identify.

If you believe, as you sometimes say, that all practicing Muslims are an evil cult, guilty of the associations you make until and unless they deny Islam, then why when I point out the innocence of most, do you deny it?
