We saw the October 1973 Israel, Syria and Egyptian battle on TV tonight....Israel was attacked on the sly by Egypt and Syria....The Israeli Government had wanted to NOT attack first, and didn't. In less than one month, over 9,000 military were killed, and 30,000 some injured. Put that in perspective with Iraq.... around 3,200 or less of our Military killed in nearly 4 years...NOT less than 1 month. Also, we were again reminded that Egyptian President Sadat was killed by an Islamist. How far back do you want to go? en.wikipedia.org
