mccain reminds of the "Plaster of Paris for Mold Making" kits as a kid. appears to me McCain is a a mold of the Bush run for President in 2000. Handlers have mixed mcCain and molded him to a Bush acceptable to the far right groups. imo if he wins the republican party nomination to run for President he quickly switches positions to regain independents and democrats. his handlers must have already calculated how many conservative republicans he will lose. McCain has targeted the republican nomination, not those running against him in the democrat party.
