China is going to overtake the US regardless of what the US does in iraq or anywhere else. You may be right - but why help them towards that outcome? Had we been wise - taken care of business in Afghanistan and then followed a policy similiar to China's it would have taken one heck of a long time - if ever - that China would overtake us. Instead of placing our resources into developing infrastructure, education and scientific research - we decide to sink our resources into the cesspool of Iraq. Do you have any ideas how many engineers China and India turn out compared to us?
