Give every school a ranking and every parent the right to choose the school their kids go to, and pay the bills by the number of students, and schools will improve. Schools don't need magnificent structures, they need magnificent teachers, and too many teachers are not even basically interested in teaching I can live by that - only thing is you transport your kid. And be willing to pay higher gas tax so we can have enough roads for the additional cars on the road to individually deliver kids here and there. Better yet, house the kids; but you pay! And if you want good teachers - pay them. Better yet work them all year. But remember, your taxes are going to have to go up if you pay them more. There is no free lunch - except in schools<smile>.
