It isn't as simple as you are trying to make it.

It doesn't seem that complicated to me. Someone brought up the point that there are 200 Chinese Jews in Shanghai. I presume they look Chinese. I'd wager their ancestors converted to Judaism at some point, but who knows?

If some sect of Judaism doesn't accept converts, from where do they think they originated, hmmmmm?
