Tenchu, regardless of the degree to which one believes that current global warming is anthropogenic, one should not be spouting "rush-limbaugh/drudge-report level" sophistry concerning it.

can continue preaching global warming even while most of America is stuck in a cold spell,

There is zero contradiction there. *global* warming means a higher average temperature, where the average is over time (the year, say) and space (regions of the globe, say). In fact, it can also lead to more temperature *extremes*, both hot and cold, so this is just rubbish, and beneath you.

Imagine, for the sake of argument: the US gets 5 degrees colder, on average, yet everywhere else is 15 degrees warmer. Or, winters are 5 degrees colder everywhere, yet summers are 20 degrees higher. See?

(And it also does not belong on the AMD thread.)
