To "reverse" the effects, you pretty much have to level civilization as we know it.

Or start a wholesale building of nuclear power plants. But saying these 2 things (leveling the civilization as we know it or building thousands of nuclear power plants) is not going to "earn" you an honorary degree in climatology...

To paraphrase Richard Nixon, "we are all climatologists now".
