My opinion is that as we've all worked so hard throughout our lives......raised kids, contributed to society in a positive way, paid our taxes etc. we deserve to do something like this for ourselves to ease our pains and reward out good behavior.

I have a spa out in the deck. We bought it 24 yrs ago, and we've gone out of our way to make sure it stays in tip top shape. We just had to have the motor rebuilt (for the very first time) and also had to have a spa guy come over the other day to fix a few little things that were wrong. I don't regret spending the money at all because a soak once in awhile is our way of rewarding ourselves.
