If Jesus had come amongst the hippies, I bet "stoned" would have meant something very different ;) So I agree with you about the need to have through understanding of the language and the culture of the time in order to have the right translation. However, beyond that I don't really think philosophizing and "interpreting" the word of God is the right thing to do...and I say this not just about the Catholics, but all religions. To do so implies that either God was unable to speak clearly and needs someone to clarify his words. Or that he did not care to inform the common people and his words were just for the select few who can decipher it after years of work. Neither stance really makes sense to me. Worse, such practice can lead to some religious leader claiming the hidden meaning of the words are revealed to him and when God says "white" he really means "black" and so on...clear text translation, where the original is unambiguous, trumps all, imo. About your web site... The home page comes up ok. The services page (one level deep) also came up ok (I think) but when I clicked on the individual services (e.g. bankruptcy) it was broken. It could be because I do not allow pop-ups or scripts to run on my browser. If this is the reason, I suggest you modify your pages so they can display even without jscript and save the script only for things like cookies and statistic collection...jmo ST
