Yes, Nadine. The CIA unprofessionally conspired against poor old deadeye Dick Cheney by refusing to fabricate the evidence he wanted to prove Mylroie's crackpot theory. He and Rummy fixed 'em good by setting up Feith's "office of special plans" to cook up just what Cheney wanted. Smoking gun, mushroom cloud, whatever.

The thing is, if Wilson's op-ed had just been ignored, nothing would have come of it. W had already gotten the war of his heart's desire, and I doubt even you could argue that Wilson had any effect on W's war devolving into the mess it is now. Or maybe I'm being overly generous. Anyway, old dead-eye Dick fixed those unprofessional spooks real good, with one of those smear campaigns that never ends. The only tool in W's toolbox, it seems.

I don't know, it seems real hard to compare the CIA's alleged unprofessionalism in refusing to fabricate evidence with all the professional warmongering that Cheney and you take such delight in. But what the heck, it's only cost us a cool $trillion or so so far.

Perhaps you could bring this up on LindyBill's "no conspiracies" thread. He might need a time out from bleating about the MSM conspiracy to cover up how great things are going in Iraq, the CIA conspiracy against Cheney the victim might be just the ticket.
