Codelco Norte union accepts company offer Source: BNamericas metalsplace.com The latest union to negotiate collective contracts at the Codelco Norte division of Chile's state copper miner Codelco has accepted a company offer of a 3.8% pay rise and 7.7mn pesos (US$14,300) in bonuses plus health and education benefits, Codelco said in a statement. The contract will be valid for 37 months from March 1. The union represents 503 workers, the statement said. Codelco Norte accounts for about 60% of the company's 1.7Mt/y output from direct operations.
