I must confess that I hadn't really looked at what these folks were advocating until recently. This whole idea of buying carbon credits must be the funniest thing I've ever heard. It's a way of being self-indulgent (at least from the POV of emitting carbon)and assuaging the conscience at the same time. People fool themselves into thinking they've cancelled out their perceived environmental crimes...lol Why not just ask forgiveness and say 5 Hail Mary's? Confession is good for the soul and is probably just as effective wrt gobal warming as buying carbon credits<g>
