Allow me to rephrase:

The internet gave to HP the ability to go direct that it had taken Dell 10 or 15 years to perfect. (Truth be known, it took HP about 2 years after the CPQ acquisition to get it right)

And wait till you see what has happened. You order something from the Internet and you get a MINUTE BY MINUTE report on where it is from Dell/HP/DHL/FedEx/Airborne.

You want to return it? It is friggin' easy. There is a return packing slip and step by step instructions all ready. In f@ckingcredible confidence builder.

Stores are getting better too, as they coordinate with the Internet.

HP's CS is now perfect. But my experience my not be statistically significant. But I follow these things and it is pretty good.

If you want TERRIBLE service try Creative.

Both Dell and HP are way ahead of the curve.
