pakistan appears to be the training ground for Al Q and taliban.. what do you suggest we do now? Imo the only reason we had pakistan in the middle of the road was the fear put into them by Bush adm once it was determined to go after Al Q. in Afghanistan. The concentration needed to fight taliban and Al Q is in Pakistan not Afghanistan. do we escalate the war by invading another country? It appears to me the nato forces we presently have in Afghanistan for the most part do not want to fight either. We have canada , england, united states out in the front lines with many countries performing some type of police duty or transportation duties. Why is it some of us think folks are just trying to find a fault with Iraq operations but they do not presnet action plans? Let's all assume we go back and concentrate on Afganistan , what does that accomplish? I assume Iran moves into Iraq , Al Q. gets to negotiate some power there, perhaps Turkey enters into some fighting with kurds, etc. Perhaps Iraq becomes a satellite of Iran , along with Syria , i expect Iran ambition will not stop there. Do we confront Iran? What is the fall back plan when we pull out of Iraq? Let's keep our eye on North Korea too, in case they step up supplies to Iran along with Russia. On the other hand we can always withhold money from the defense budget and spend it on social programs and let happens, what ever happens.
