I think you missed my point. 50 years ago, the roman Catholic Priest had a lot more power than he has today. even the pope had more power than he does today. Because we have changed as our society changed, we don't see the changes. For instance Israel is far different today than it was 50 years ago. But palestinians have probably changed less, because until recently they had less information about how things were changing.
