When I said D was rocking on his new album, I almost called it Rockabilly. And I kept thinking that it needed Jerry Lee Lewis banging on the ivory.
He's got a new release,too
New Jerry Lee Lewis album out in September Last release 11 years ago; guests include Springsteen, Young, Page
Updated: 3:40 p.m. PT April 26, 2006 NEW YORK - Rockabilly hellraiser Jerry Lee Lewis will release his first album in 11 years next September through Columbia Records.
"Redemption," a star-studded effort featuring the likes of Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Jimmy Page, was originally set for a February 2005 release via DreamWorks Nashville, which has since closed down.
Although he still tours regularly, Lewis hasn't released a studio album since 1995's "Young Blood" (Sire), which failed to reach The Billboard 200. On Friday, he will perform "Great Balls of Fire" on CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman." msnbc.msn.com |
