Yep. Luckily for me, I refused to let that happen. My mom and I didn't make our peace until I let things go a few years ago. I refuse to let her rattle my cage anymore. :) It's nice to live in peace with mom after so many years of war! When my kids passed me in judgement and wisdom; I decided it was time to be more "friend" than tyrant! They really didn't pass me; it was just the realization of "where I was" at their age and how much smarter they are than I was. Being friends has been such a blessing. Seriously. That time will come in your house too. In the meantime...do like schweetie did and "run for cover"!!
