The world is run by clerks. This is just the nature of it. Maybe 5% of the population of any country makes life-changing contributions...most are merely support. James Clark Maxwell is one of many who have made tremendous contributions. He, like many who preceded and followed his accomplishments, was not a corporate man. Yet high technology requires BIG investment. The corporations can be as stifling as a government. GE, Westinghouse, General Motors, Ford, etc squash individual initiative nowadays....maybe due to profit motive, protection of steady cash flow etc. len
