(I don't saw a quote, where Hector said no financial impact untill 2008 - do you? Seems like your blue colored glassed put a few assumed words into the text)
No one claimed no financial impact until 2008. No *significant* impact until then, because if it was going to be significant revenue contributor before 2008, Hector would not have said 2008.
And then there's this:

Allen said Q4 2007 will be when the first real impact of Barcelona comes through in AMD's financial statements.
So, as I said, no (initial) financial impact until Q4, and no *significant* contribution to revenue until 2008. And that's from AMD's own executives!
Its clear, that they wanted to launch in Q2. I expect first shipments in Q2 (I use the Intel phrase here) with Revs coming in instantly from the beginning of Q3 on.
That's your own wishful thinking.
Richard said it will not be "in the market" until Q3. Hell, OEMs aren't even getting final samples until May. Talk about unvalidated server products.
50Mio. would be not that far off,
Well, at least you've cut your revenue impact in Q3 by a factor of 2 to 4, through our exchanges. Keep going, you're getting warmer.
If we assume the higher end and take a ASP of 500$, which is too low it will come up with 100Mio. extra in Revs. Thats nice for the bottom line. If volume and ASP could be better (we have to wait and see), Barcelona could end up easily with 200Mio. $ per quarter extra. |
