Mark,
I'm not a believer in "the gaps must always be filled" school. However...they become easy trading targets when the price approaches them. Exhaustion gaps and breakaway gaps are easy to spot and trade, but the major continuation gaps have no hard fast rules which work.
The stock is consolidating, but I don't like the dark clouds on the technology front. Too many preannouncements, and some major problems going forward. Y2K, Asian weakness, inventory build, etc.. Money flows into the sector are going to dry up IMO. That's why we sold last week.
I'm not sure if the H-P announcement was an extension of the move away from Postscript 2, or just a public validation of it. Seems like more than just a few monochrome printers could be affected.

Good luck to all,

Peter Shaw
