If we can imagine iran without ahmadijad and moving toward some type of islamic democracy at a faster pace along with some sort of market economy, we would want them to have nukes i imagine to balance pakistan and their crazy sunnis and the arabs who might one day get a Christmas gift from the Musharaff gang.
