And they aren't even good leaders. Leaders set a course and make adjustments when unfolding events prove them wrong. The Bushies and their followers just keep making mistakes and trying to blame them on someone else....Clinton, the MSM, their political opponents, the milkman, the dogcatcher, whoever is handy.

I thought the charge against Bush was that he was too stubborn and didn't change course? Bush does remarkably little blaming for a President. I never heard him blame Clinton for the state of the military, though if Bush 43 had gotton the same size military that Bush 41 left office with, he would have had many more options in Iraq.

Or, like you, they try to convince us that what we see with our own eyes really isn't there......the war REALLY is a success....the WMDs are REALLY there.....It's just amazing to watch the degree of self-deception that goes on.

That's just my point, you see nothing with your own eyes, only with the MSM's eyes. I am not denying any facts. Obviously if the Iraqi civil service had held together, and Al Qaeda and Iran had not charged into Iraq fomenting chaos, and the Sunnis had not opted to blow people up rather than reach a compromise, things would be in a much better state.

What I do say is that MSM reporting has made everything worse from day one, because they reported everything from the start as if the only acceptable result was instant peace and perfection, so the looting, killing, bombers, etc. proved that the war was a failure, Iraq was a quagmire just like Vietnam, it was time to run away. All battles were reported as American losses, because if the Americans were winning, there wouldn't have been any battles, right? And then they would show videos of insurgent bombings, straight from Al Jazeera.

If the MSM had reported this way in WWII we would have lost the war. It is neither fair nor accurate to report a war as LOST, LOST, LOST! just because it is still going on.

Altogether, it's amazing that half of Americans still support the war, considering the reporting. I know from reading the milbloggers that the military is just seething about the nature of the coverage.
