Nadine, re: If the MSM had reported this way in WWII we would have lost the war. It is neither fair nor accurate to report a war as LOST, LOST, LOST! just because it is still going on.

So you think that if the mysterious MSM started reporting the war as WON, WON, WON! we'd "win" this war, whatever win means?

The pen must be mightier than the sword, or IED, or insurgency, or whatever in your world.

In the end reality will take the last bite out of your stubbornly blind fantasies and then you'll be left with an inability to understand what the hell went wrong and some vague notions about how liberals and the "MSM" lost the day. The fact that there are several sides over there with guns, beliefs, determination and the ability to continue killing Americans until we finally leave never seems to register with you.

PS, that stuff about how "we're winning" against Al Queda in Anbar is too silly. The Iraqi Sunnis are kicking them out for reasons of their own and those reasons have nothing to do with supporting the Shiite majority government or protecting Americas interests. The only reason the Sunnis even tolerated them was because they were killing American soldiers.

And, by the way, do you really think that Al Queda will have a stronghold in Iraq if we leave? Why would they want one there when they have a much stronger base of support in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and other nations. Ed
