It's funny that the Founding Fathers explicitly left it up to Congress to raise armies and declare war, but now we believe in a Supreme Executive Power with unilateral authority to do whatever they want militarily, anywhere, anytime, all under the guise of national security.

And hardly anyone even questions it. Wait until there is a non-Republican in that office and we will hear some screaming and howling about presidents going too far again.
