I went to Sound Advice and got the Nuvi mounted to a permanent metal plate attached through side and back of the stereo. Great placement, very easy to see and use, no worries about charging anymore. Just turn on the ignition, it goes on and starts charging and you can go immediately hands free calling via bluetooth. I love the unit more and more everyday. Folks get blown away by it especially the turn by turn audio.. I now understand you must stay exactly on an programmed route. Even deviating slightly throws it off and you must reset all over again from your new position.. A very minor inconvenience..
