The next time Hizbullah attacks Israel, Syria may join the war (it needs one too, it's isolated from the Arab League and pressed by the Hariri investigation) and Iran may back Syria. Then the US will become involved too.

Hmmm, to even things out for the past 40 years of one sidedness, perhaps the best US involvement following this next war would be to go to the UN and pass a resolution calling for immediate cessation to the hostilities, and demand that Hizbullah withdraw to clear and defensible borders, and then when Hizbullah fails to comply the US could veto each subsequent UN resolution demanding Hizbullah comply. Then, in 2047, the US could say that it has been an impartial judge in the Israel-Pal conflict.
