To All, Re: AMD yield problem

Quoting from a Lehman Brothers analysis (message 873 on the AMD News Thread, courtesy of Albert K.):

"In late June almost 50% of parts were 233 MHz, but parts now
are largely 166 and 200 MHz (list price today: 233s $290, 200s $189, 166s
$109)"

I'd appreciate it if someone would explain why, after three more months experience, the yield of high-speed parts went *down*. Even the AMD fans are ripping into Jerry, but is this his fault?

Thanks,

Craig
