And I haven't said Pasreal has a chance of happening, I've said it is the best plan for that region to achieve peace, to help advance the Arab's and Muslims into modernity, and is the approach that the USA should support since it mirrors American values of equality of man, and could be good development for the Pasreal-Lebanon-Kurdistan "block".
It's possible, or even probable, that Iran finally obtaining their own symbolic nuclear weapons will add enough military balance to the region that something would be done about the Palestinians.
I say symbolic since it's very unlikely that anybody outside a bin Laden (who has no hope whatsoever of getting his hands on any nuclear missiles) would ever use them. Ahmadinejad may talk about it, but that's just normal demagoguery, he's no bin Laden. The latter is a cold blooded sadistic mass murderer on religious Koolaid, who doesn't have a country to even worry about, a far cry from any other nuclear "threat", such as North Korea.
Palestinians by any rational measure have gotten the short end of the stick in this whole deal, and not even the major part of that is their own fault. But the military threats the native inhabitants of that region feel, with Israel sitting there as some kind of Jewish Green Zone, and ham fisted Americans occupying their land with military bases are completely normal and natural and are the real crux of the problems there. |
