Oh, of course we want a President who has character, but to suggest that one or another divorce would disqualify anyone simply doesn't allow for the broad variety and depth of personality and qualities we have as humans... certainly, one or another divorce may have some weighted value, but not much in the full spectrum... and, to use your own logic, here's where your argument becomes defective: if having had several divorces weakens Rudy's character qualities, then I myself must be a much stronger candidate for President since I've been married to the same woman for 39 years and we still love and adore each other... I can already tell you that I would not make a good President, no less a great President just because I never divorced... divorce can often be the fault of the other person, not all marriages have to be successful, even those with strong character could run into a bad relationship, it's a human thing, it has little to do with character, decision making qualities, vision, inner strength, and all those other traits we all want in a leader...
