Actually, darlin', we were against it before the war, cuz we knew it was gonna be another Nam. Some of us even knew the government would lie about Iraq just as they did about the Tonkin Gulf. Nam cost us 50K dead, ? wounded, and ??psychologically scarred for life, cost the Vietnamese several million people, caused massive environmental damage, and is still tearing the country apart. No, we don't want another Nam. Except maybe the part where Vt. Senator Aiken said, "Let's just declare victory and go home."

Here's a guy who knew ahead of time. See if you can get it to turn out better for the US than I've been able to do.
