Bob..Regarding stops, I'm certainly no expert, but I can tell you what I have started to do when I'm in a runner. I wait until the stock gets to the price I'd feel okay about taking profits; however, I set a trailing stop for it. With trailing stops, MMs can't see your stop and the stop moves with you if the stock goes up. It all depends what price you set the trailing stop. If I'm trading QID which is all over, I'll put it anywhere from .50 to 1.00. If I'm trading a lower priced stock, I might set it as close as .10 or many times at .20 - .30. The point is this, when I do this, I no longer watch a stock go way up in a day, then watch it go all the way back down taking all my profits. I was pretty good at doing that. LOL It's interesting once you get the hang of it how often you'll end up with more than what you would have sold the stock. In other words, it may exceed your target. Whether it does or not, at least you know you have locked in your profit and that's a good thing whether you get the HOD or not.
